Shahpura House

India

  • Shahpura House

The town of Shahpura (one of many Indian towns with this same name) was historically the head of the Shekhawat Clan of Rajputs. In 1956, Shahpura House was rebuilt on the site of the Shahpura's mansion in Jaipur by Rao Dhir Singh in a mixture of traditional Rajput and Mughal styles. Since the 1990s, Shahpura House has served as heritage hotel as well as a home to the Shahpura family.

The hotel has 387 rooms decorated with traditional furnishings but modern amenities such as air-conditioning and en-suite bathrooms. A small outdoor swimming pool provides space to relax and unwind after a day's sightseeing. The rooftop restaurant serves excellent local and international meals, with cultural shows performed in the evenings.
