Open: Shahpura Bagh is open all year.

Location: Shahpura Bagh is located in rural Rajasthan between the cities of Jaipur and Udaipur. It is set in 18 hectares of gardens and grounds with two lakes. The airport in Jaipur is about a five hour drive from the hotel.

Rooms: There are four deluxe rooms and six royal suites, individually designed. They include handmade kilms and Kashmiri carpets, antique paintings and photographs. All have en-suite bathrooms with twin basins, rain showers and complimentary toiletries. One room and one suite are situated in the main house, where the family lives, on the top floor and have a large roof terrace. The other rooms and suites are in the restored residence and have windows and doors opening onto the garden. All rooms are air conditioned. There is also a two bedroom villa, ideal for groups of friends and families. As well as the two en-suite bedrooms it has a private veranda, an outdoor shower and a courtyard. The hotel offers room service.

Activities: Guests can explore the many walking and cycling trails, go bird watching, enjoy picnics, relax in hammocks, watch cookery demonstrations, go boating on the lakes, visit markets, temples and the stepwell in Shahpura town. Massage and yoga can be arranged. You can enjoy sundowner drinks at Dikhola Fort, a 20 minute drive away.

Facilities: The hotel has an infinity pool and sundeck with 2 pavilions, sunbeds and a poolside bar. The pool is heated in cooler months. There is a formal drawing room and a dining room. Indian and continental food is served and can be enjoyed outdoors as well as indoors. Special private dinners can be arranged. Indian wine, limited French wine, beer and spirits are available. There are extensive gardens.

Dining: Meals can be taken communally or at individual tables.

Children: Children of all ages are welcome. Babysitting is available on request. There is a play station for children.

Health: We recommend malaria prophylactics for travel to India.

Communication: Mobile phones work on the local network. There is free wifi internet access.

Notes: There is good wheelchair access to rooms on the ground floor.
