Open: Serra Cafema is open all year round.
Location: The camp occupies a superb spot on the banks of the Kunene river, on border with Angola.
Rooms: The 8 spacious thatched villas are beautifully furnished and decorated with natural muted tones. One is a family unit. The bathrooms have indoor and outdoor showers. Each villa enjoys a large wooden deck with sun loungers. The tents large floor to ceiling windows with pation doors right the way across the front making the most of the views.
Activities: Explore the area by 4x4 with expert guides. Quad-biking is also on offer along with guided walks of varying lengths. Visit the Himba and learn about these fascinating people and finish of your day on the water, a sunset boatcruise.
Facilities: The main area houses a lounge, bar and dining room. Out on the deck is a pool with wonderful views, a sunken lounge and more wonderful views. Meals can be taken under cover in the dining area, or in the open air overlooking the river.
Dining: Delicious meals are served at separate tables.
Children: Children over the age of 6 are welcome, this camp is more suited to older children. Those with children under 12 will require a private vehicle.
Health: This is a malarial area.
