Sasaab is a luxurt tented camp in the African bush by the Ewaso Nyiro River in Northern Kenya. This area has a wild, dry beauty, changing in habitat from the lush slopes of Mount Kenya to the semi-desert of Kenya's Northern Frontier District. Sasaab is part of The Safari Collection founded by Mikey and Tanya Carr-Hartley which also includes Sala's Camp, Giraffe Manor and Solio Lodge. Sasaab offers a true wilderness experience in an atmosphere of refined comfort and stylish decor and furnishings.

The accommodation here is in light and airy Moroccan style tents, each over 100 square metres comprising a bedroom, sitting room and en-suite bathroom open to the sky. There is a mix of double and twin tents. Solar power provides electricity and there are charging outlets to each room. All tents have a private deck with a plunge pool and you can enjoy relaxing massage treatments here or simply sit and enjoy the views as you sip a chilled drink from the in-room drinks cooler.

The main lodge area is on a ridge and has far reaching panoramic views. The lounge and dining areas are open-sided to make the most of these views, and are linked by a small courtyard. There's a separate dining deck, lit by lanterns after dark, overlooking the winding river. The food here is of the highest quality, prepared making use of the freshest ingredients and infused with a distinct Moroccan influence.

A short distance from the main area there's a free form infinity pool and an expansive paved deck with loungers and cushioned seating where you can unwind. There is bar service at the pool. SpaSaab offers the ultimate indulgence in the form of massages and beauty treatments, and includes a yoga area, pool and gym.

Game viewing is provided by game drives and walks along the river or in the dry bushlands with English-speaking Samburu guides. For a more in-depth bush experience you can go fly camping, spending a night out under the starry African skies. While at Sasaab you have the option to visit a Samburu village to witness daily life and learn about their culture.
