Rooms: There are 12 suites, spaced well apart and set high off the ground. Each has a generously sized bedroom with a mosquito net-draped bed, sofa, coffee table, minibar and an open fire. There’s a hatch where staff can leave freshly made hot drinks. Mesh doors lead out to the deck where there are day beds and a plunge pool. There is an indoor bathroom as well as an outdoor shower. Each suite is supplied with bathrobes, slippers and insect repellent and a hairdryer. All rooms have a safe.
Activities: There are twice-daily game drives (early morning and late afternoon), supplemented by guided bush walks and night drives. Helicopter flights over the Okavango Delta can be arranged for an extra cost.
Facilities: The lodge has a large lounge, bar and a roaring fire, plus a dining room. High ceilings add to the overall feeling of space. There are several decks on different levels where you can sit and contemplate the wonderful views. At ground level, there’s a boma and campfire. The lodge has a massage area, a small gym and a gift shop. There is a free laundry service.
Dining: Meals are generally eaten at individual tables and private dining on the deck of your suite can be arranged. The day starts with a hot drink and biscuits before the game drive. A buffet breakfast is served on your return to the lodge. Lunch is a light meal, and dinner is usually eaten outdoors in the boma or on the deck.
Children: Children of all ages are welcome. The WILDchild programme consists of interactive activities specially designed for youngsters. Children below the age of 6 years cannot participate in wildlife activities. Those aged 12 years and older are permitted on game drives, and those between 6 and 12 can take part at the discretion of the camp manager. The minimum age for bush walks is 16. Suites can accommodate 1 child in an extra bed. There is a larger family suite. The lodge is not fenced and children must be kept under supervision at all times.
Health: This is a malarial area.
Communication: There is Wi-Fi internet access in suites and the main areas of the lodge.

Client Rating for Botswana 5/5 from 120 reviews
More reviewsIf you want out and out luxury and all mod-cons in the middle of the bush, this is the place to come. It's worth coming for the architecture alone. The weaver bird nest rooms are both homely, stylish and very civilised - by which I mean that despite the remote location you have all the electricity you need, an internal telephone system, your own plunge pool and wood-burning stove, air-con and wifi. The food was superb, the staff could not be more professional or friendly, and, importantly, the guiding was excellent and we had some of the best gameviewing of our whole trip here. If you fancy a treat, Sandibe can give it to you.
