Open: Samburu Intrepids is open all year.

Location: Samburu Intrepids is in Samburu Game Reserve. It is by the Uaso Nyiro River. The camp is a 20 minute drive from the Samburu airstrip.

Rooms: There are 28 luxury tents ranged along the riverside. Tents are furnished with mahogany furniture, large 4 poster beds with mosquito nets and have en-suite bathrooms with hot showers, twin hand basins and flush toilets. Each tent has a secluded veranda. Tents are supplied with bottled water and insect repellent. You can charge batteries in your tent.

Activities There are twice daily game drives, guided nature walks and bird walks, visits to local Samburu villages and camel safaris. In the evenings there are talks and presentations on culture and wildlife. You can enjoy bush breakfasts and dinners and romantic sundowners. The resident naturalist conducts star gazing excursions. Fly camping can be arranged.

Facilities: The lodge has spacious main areas including a dining deck and open-air lounge. There is a bookshop and reference library and a gift shop, which stocks batteries, chargers and camera memory cards as well as handicrafts. There is a swimming pool and sunbathing terrace. The camp offers a currency exchange and laundry service.

Dining: Meals are taken at individual tables.

Children: Children of all ages are welcome. The Adventurers Club arranges activities for those aged 3 to 11 and there is a Young Rangers Club for older children.

Health: This is a malarial area.

Communication: The camp reception provides an email and internet service.
