Samburu Intrepids Camp's location deep inside Samburu National Reserve guarantees close encounters with the region's wildlife. Situated on the banks of the Uaso Nyiro River in the arid heart of Samburu National Reserve, Samburu Intrepids looks out over riverbanks where herds of elephant, buffalo and zebra come daily to drink, together with the rarer northern species of reticulated giraffe, Beisa oryx and long-necked gerenuk antelope.

This luxurious lodge offers 28 modern tents all with a private view over the wildlife-rich riverbanks. Tents are spacious and offer the very latest in luxury camping, with four-poster beds, handsome mahogany wardrobes and desks and en-suite bathrooms with hot showers. There is a thatched dining area and separate lounge and bar areas. The camp has a free form swimming pool with sunbathing garden and a boutique selling souvenirs and safari essentials.

Samburu Intrepids offers guests early morning game drives, walking safaris with skilled Samburu guides, sedate camel rides and raft trips when the river is high. The resident naturalist will explain the celestial skies at night, helping you to spot the Southern Cross, Seven Sisters and Scorpion amongst many others. There are also trips to local Samburu villages. The Adventurers' Club and Young Rangers Club offer a uniquely educational safari for children of all ages, under the expert guidance of the Samburu guides.
