Location: The hotel is in Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park by the Zambezi River and about a 10-minute walk from Victoria Falls. It is about a half hour drive from Harry Mwanga Nkumbula International Airport, previously known as Livingstone Airport.
Rooms: There are 173 rooms and suites, all air conditioned and en-suite, with satellite TV, Wi-Fi, minibar, tea and coffee maker and safe. There is butler service and 24-hour room service. Deluxe and deluxe corner rooms are 30sqm and include a balcony or sunroom respectively with garden or river views. Livingstone suites are 63sqm with a lounge-dining room and private river-facing veranda. The presidential suite is 88sqm and includes a living and dining room and a large terrace with a dining area.
Activities: Explore Victoria Falls, take scenic helicopter and microlight flights, go white water rafting, canoeing, horse riding and bungee jumping and take a sunset river cruise, You can take game drives in the national park and go on a cultural tour of Livingstone.
Facilities: The hotel has a restaurant with a terrace, an outdoor bar-diner, boma, bar and lounge. There’s a spa and beauty salon, a gym, outdoor swimming pool and hammocks by the river.
Dining: The Old Drift Restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner serving Zambian and European fare indoors and on the terrace. Kubu offers al fresco drinks and light meals by the river. Afternoon tea is served in the lounge. You can enjoy a boma dinner by the open fire on certain evenings of the week, and on some other evenings you have the option of a five-course dinner on the Royal Livingstone Express train.
Children: The lodge welcomes children of all ages.
Health: This is a malarial area.
