Rivertrees Country Inn

Open:  Rivertrees Country Inn is open all year.

Location:  Rivertrees Country Inn is in the foothills or Mount Meru about 20kms from Arusha and 60kms from Moshi. Kilimanjaro airport is about 30 minutes from the inn and Arusha airport is about an hour away.

Rooms:  There are 18 garden rooms, 2 river cottages and the separate River House, with accommodation for up to 4 people in 2 double suites and its own living room, bar, kitchen and terrace. The garden rooms have en-suite bathrooms, mosquito nets, safes and a supply of bottled water. The river cottages are more secluded and also have outside showers and large patios.   

Activities:  Guided tours of a coffee nursery, village visits, canoeing on lake Duluti, mountain biking, guided walks by the Usa river and through local farms, cooking classes with the chef, bird watching in the gardens.

Facilities:   The restaurant, adjacent to the old farmhouse, is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner and serves a wide range of dishes including a variety of pizzas fresh from the pizza oven. On sunny days meals can be enjoyed in the gardens. Afternoon tea is served on the veranda overlooking the lawns. The bar is built from an old dhow and offers a selection of drinks. There is a spa with an outside massage banda. The comfortable lounge is in the old farmhouse building and has a selection of reading matter and board games. There is a separate TV lounge. The gardens are filled with flowers and trees which attract a variety of birds. Rivertrees has a large swimming pool, sun loungers and a shaded daybed.  

Dining:  Meals are taken at individual tables.

Children:  Children of all ages are welcome.  

Health:  This is a malarial area.

Communication:  There is free Wi-Fi internet access in the main building.
