Open: Rhino Post Safari Lodge is open all year.

Location:  Rhino Post is in a private concession of 12,000 hectares bordering the Mala Mala and Sabi sand reserves in Kruger. It is a 45 minute drive from Skukuza airport.

Rooms:  There are 8 suites, each with a specious bedroom, lounge and bathroom with a bathtub, hand basin, flush toilet and an outdoor shower. All have private verandas with views of the dry riverbed. Beds have mosquito nets. Valuable can be stored in the safe.

Activities:  There are twice daily game drives (morning and late afternoon) in both the concession and the national park. The lodge has exclusive use of some of the park’s public roads for evening game drives, after the gates close at sunset. Bird watching is a popular activity. You can also go on guided walks while at Rhino Post.

Sleep Outs:You'll have the chance to spend the night at one of the special sleep out platforms, erected by a waterhole in a remote setting. You arrive before sunset in time for a drink as the cook prepares dinner over the fire. Having dined you'll be ready to climb the platform, your way light by lamplight, where you find a bed draped with a mosquito net waiting for you. Fall asleep as you listed to animal calls and wildlife passing by. In the morning you have a snack and hot drink before being driven back to camp.

Facilities: There is a small pool with a wooden deck area where you can relax and cool off between game drives. There is an al fresco dining area in the shade of trees and a lounge with an open fire and bar, a good place to meet and mix with fellow guests.  There is a waterhole near the lodge which attracts various animals including elephants. The lodge has battery charging facilities, electricity and 24 hour lighting.

Dining:  Meals can be taken communally or at individual tables. Bush meals can be arranged.

Children:  Children of all ages are welcome.

Health:  This is a malarial area.

Communication:  There is internet access via the computer in the reception area. There is Wi-Fi internet access in the bar, though this can be sporadic.
