Reni Pani Jungle Lodge is a lovely lodge of 12 individual cottages, a handful of tented suites and social areas set in 30 acres of forest in Satpura National Park in India. Its grounds and waterholes act as a magnet attracting animals and birds year-round, making this an ideal spot for nature lovers. The owners live here and are happy to spend time with their guests.

You can explore the park by jeep and boat, and, unusually for a national park in Central India, take walks in the jungle. Sambhar, cheetal, nilgai, blackbuck, wild boar and sloth bear are often seen here, plus leopard and, of course, tiger.

Cottages are arranged in 3 main areas, along the seasonal nallah (stream), in the forest and at the top of the hill. They vary slightly in design, each offering spacious accommodation, top quality bathrooms, lounges and private decks where you can sit and look out into the forest. Tented suites are set in the gardens and are spacious with en-suite bathrooms and indoor and outdoor relaxation areas. All rooms and tents are furnished with natural, local materials.

At the heart of the lodge is the 'Gol Ghar', or meeting place, which contains the lounge, library, dining room and bar. Meals are often served outdoors, including popular barbecues which offer you the chance to pick up some culinary skills should you wish. There's a tempting pool, and, if you feel the need for some special pampering therapists are available to administer traditional massages.
