Location: West side of Nankumba Peninsula, towards the southern end of Lake Malawi and within Lake Malawi National Park. Pumulani is a 3 hour drive or a 40 minute light aircraft flight plus a 20 minute drive from Lilongwe. Pumulani's sister property in Majete Wildlife Reserve, Mkulumadzi, is a 5 hour drive away.

Rooms: Pumulani has 10 spacious, individually decorated villas, 4 villas with twin beds, 4 villas with a king size bed, 1 honeymoon chalet and 1 family room that sleeps 4. All have an indoor sitting area, private deck and an en-suite bathroom with a double shower, bath and twin hand basins. The honeymoon villa has an outdoor shower. Facilities include tea and coffee makers, minibars, fans and air conditioning.

Activities: Sailing, kayaking, fishing, snorkelling and taking a cruise aboard the lodge's dhow, Nkhwanzi. Motorised watersports like waterskiing and tubing, and diving are available at extra charge. On land you can go walking and mountain biking, visit local villages and the Nankhwali Mission with superb views of Lake Malawi. At night you can use the telescope to enhance your star gazing experience.

Facilities: 2 infinity pools, shaded bar, open air restaurant, decks, all perfectly located for spectacular views over the lake.

Dining: The meals are served, either inside or outside on the deck, the spacious central restaurant has a magnificent view of the lake.

Children: Family-friendly, with children of all ages welcome.

Health: This is a malarial area.
