Open:  Pousada Rio Claro is open all year.

Location:  Pousada Rio Claro is a working ranch located in the northern Pantanal, near the town of Pocone which is 142kms from Cuiaba. It is set in extensive grounds bordering the river, which are rich in animal and plant.  

Rooms:  The 20 guest rooms are simply furnished to provide comfortable accommodation. They are air conditioned and include an en-suite bathroom with shower and toilet.

Activities:  The range of activities includes horse riding, guided hikes, bird watching, night safaris, motor boat excursions and piranha fishing. Guests can relax between  activities, strolling through the gardens, lounging by the pool, taking a refreshing dip or dozing in a hammock.

Facilities:   The restaurant serves regional dishes, buffet-style. Guests can bring their own wine and beer. There is an outdoor swimming pool and a wide veranda with hammocks where guests can relax between activities. The souvenir shop sells locally made handicrafts. The hotel has a bar and internet access. There is a safe at reception and a laundry service is available.

Dining:  Meals are taken at separate tables.  

Children:  Children of all ages are welcome.

Health:  Malaria prophylactics are recommended for the Pantanal.

Communication:There is Wi-Fi internet access in public areas.

Simple but comfortable. Excellent river and bird watching trips, and many beautiful birds around site. Tasty variety of home-cooked local food for lunch and evening buffets. Small swimming pool
