Location:  Pousada Praia das Ondas is set on Itacimirim Beach surrounded by palm trees, 50kms north of Salvador, site of the nearest airport, and just 5kms from Praia do Forte. It is set in lush tropical gardens. This is a quiet location with little or no nightlife, suitable for those in search of a relaxing break.  

Rooms:  Accommodation is in a range of categories. All are air conditioned and have private bathroom, TV, minibar, safe and a veranda or balcony with a hammock. In addition bungalows have a kitchen.

Activities:  Guests can relax on the beach, sunbathe, swim, snorkel and stroll along to beach bars. Mountain bikes and surfboards are available for guests. There is a lagoon and Sapiranga jungle reserve to be explored. Guests can explore the mangroves by boat. The famous turtle project TAMAR is at Praia do Forte just 5kms away.

Facilities: The restaurant serves local and international cuisines and is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. There is a good-sized outdoor pool and a partially shaded deck where guests can enjoy refreshing drinks. There is a second, newer pool, surrounded by palm trees and with views of the ocean. Nearby is a Jacuzzi.  

Dining:  Meals are taken at separate tables.

Children: Children of all ages are welcome. Some rooms are suited to families.

Health:  Bahia is not a malarial area.

Communication:  There is Wi-Fi internet access in public areas.
