Pousada do Sandi

Open:  Pousada do Sandi is open all year.

Location:  Pousada do Sandi, formerly a school then social club, is located in the historical centre of the colonial city of Paraty, about halfway between Rio and Sao Paulo, both of which are a 4 hour drive away. It is within walking distance of famous landmarks. It is set in private gardens.

Rooms:  Accommodation is deluxe rooms, junior and master suites. There are 26 room in total, all air conditioned and with en-suite bathrooms.  The deluxe rooms are in the main building and annex and can accommodate up to 5 people. Junior suites can accommodate up to 4 people and the one master suite has a bedroom and living room and provides accommodation for 2 people. All rooms are decorated in with bright furnishings and original artwork. They are equipped with LCD TV, phone, fridge and safe.

Activities:  Exploring the town and port of Paraty, taking boat rides to nearby beaches and islands. There is scope for walking, hiking, horse riding, swimming, snorkelling and fishing. The hotel staff can arrange a number of tours, including jeep, boat and walking trips.  

Facilities:   Pousada do Sandi has spacious, light and bright communal areas, a pleasant garden and a bar. The hotel's restaurant, Pippo, specialises in Italian food. Other facilities include a library, living room, cafe, TV room and games room. There is spa, sauna and steam room.  

Dining:  Meals are taken at separate tables.

Children:  Children of all ages are welcome, though there are no specific facilities for children. Babysitting can be arranged on request.

Health:  Paraty is not a malarial area.

Communication: There is free high-speed internet access in public areas.
