Location: Pousada do Pilar is located in a charming townhouse in the historic district of Salvador, about a 10-minute walk from the main square of Pelourinho.
Rooms: The 12 spacious guest rooms offer modern conveniences like TVs, ‘phones, Wi-Fi, minibars and safes. 5 rooms have small balconies with street views and the other 7 have verandas facing the harbour and the ocean. Room service is available.
Activities: Seeing the sites of Salvador, shopping, visiting the harbour and beach, watersports, swimming, boat trips in the bay.
Facilities: Breakfast is served on the rooftop terrace overlooking All Saints’ Bay and there is also an indoor dining area. The hotel does not serve lunch or dinner, but there are plenty of restaurants nearby. The hotel has a lift, which is unusual for Pelourinho pousadas. Reception is staffed 24 hours a day and the hotel offers luggage storage, laundry and a currency exchange.
Dining: Breakfast is taken at separate tables.
Children: Children of all ages are welcome.
Health: Salvador is not a malarial area.
