Potato Bush Camp is a small, privately owned, luxury camp on the banks of the Zambezi River which opened in late 2012. It is a sister property to Sausage Tree Camp which is nearby. The camp is shaded by mahogany, sausage and acacia trees. Accommodating a maximum of just ten guests, it has an intimate atmosphere.
The four tents are built of canvas and rosewood and spaced well apart along the river. Three of these are doubles with spacious en-suite bathrooms with twin showers, hand basins and a bath. Folding doors open out onto a wooden deck with a large hammock. The fourth tent is designed for families and has two bedrooms each with an en-suite bathroom, and a large central living and dining area plus a balcony. All four tents have private plunge pools, ideal for a cooling off after game viewing. The camp has an open plan living and dining area, linked to guest tents by raised walkways. This social area also includes a bar.
Potato Bush Camp provides day and night game drives in its own vehicles, as well as boat rides, guided walks, canoeing and fishing. Game is plentiful and includes a resident pride of lions, while elephants often saunter through the camp. The bird life here is abundant making Potato Bush Camp a good choice for bird watchers.
