Outpost Lodge is in a pleasant, leafy suburb of Aruhsa, within walking distance of the town centre. It is a family owned and ruin lodge providing clean and comfortable accommodation, wholesome food and a friendly welcome. All of this explains why The Outpost Lodge is a popualr choice for visitors to Arusha. Its proximity to both Arusha and Kilimanjaro airports makes it convenient, too. It is ideal at the beginning and end of a northern cicruit safari and as a base for those embarking on a Kilimanajro climb.  

The 28 rooms vary in size and layout, offering plenty of choice. They are in different locations and all provide an en-suite bathroom with solar-heated hot water, satellite TV, tea and coffee making equipment and mosquito nets. Rooms are cooled by fans.  

The lodge has a lively open air restaurant serving good home cooked food made using seasonal produce, and a fully licensed bar where you can mix with fellow travellers. The sun deck and outdoor pool are great for unwinding and the well maintained gardens are the perfect place for a gentle stroll when you are sure to spot birds and might also see bushbabies, hedgehogs and chameleons. If you need to catch up on your emails, the lodge has free Wi-Fi in the main public areas. 

Most of the staff are local and many have worked at The Outpost Lodge for several years and help give the lodge a real family feel.
