Open: Onguma The Fort is open all year.

Location: The Fort is in Onguma Reserve which borders Etosha National Park. It is around a 20 minute drive from the Von Lindequist Gate at Etosha.

Rooms: There are 12 suites, including the honeymoon suite, arranged to either side of the main building and set some 50 metres apart from each other for privacy. They have air conditioning, minibar, safe, telephone, mosquito nets, hairdryer and bathroom with an indoor shower and twin hand basins, and a further outdoor shower, and private terraces with chairs and loungers. The honeymoon suite also has a lounge and TV. There is also the sultan suite, located in the tower of the main fort building and has its own sitting room with satellite TV, bathroom with bath and open air shower, and a private viewing deck as well as same facilities as the other suites.

Activities: Morning game drives in Etosha National Park, sunset, night drives and nature walks in Onguma Reserve. If you have your own car you can access Etosha when you wish, though no self-driving is permitted in Onguma.

Facilities: There are 2 lounges, 1 at the front and 1 at the back of the main building, both with a selection of reference books, and a bar. There’s an open-sided dining room and a large deck facing the waterhole. Nearby is the plunge pool and the outside bar, complete with a shallow pool where you can keep cool while enjoying a drink. The top of the tower has a sitting area from which you can admire the far reaching views. There is a laundry service available at extra charge.

Dining: Meals are eaten at individual tables indoors and outside.

Children: Children aged 7 years and upwards are welcome.

Health: This is a malarial area.

Communication: There is Wi-Fi internet access in the main bulding and in the suites, there is mobile phone reception.
