A popular place to stay in Windhoek is the Olive Grove Guesthouse.  It's found in a quiet Windhoek suburb not far from the city centre.  Visitors here will get a warm welcome and you will feel at home in this rennovated old house.  They owners have chosen a contemporary design with minimalist, stylish furniture and warm natural fabrics and colours adorn the rooms.

The guesthouse has varous outdoor areas on different levels.  On the mezanine level is a small patio area with a plunge pool and loungers, leading off from this are the wrought iron stairs which lead up to the main terrace, a delightful shady area where meals are served. The Olive Grove prides itself of the wholesome, tasty and well presented meals that are prepared in the open plan kitchen.  As well as an extensive buffet breakfast with hot and cold food, they offer a full a la carte lunch and dinner menu, this is perfect if you do not want to venture into Windhoek. The ground floor of the building houses the reception area and a lounge with plush comfy sofas and a fireplace. There is also a computer with interent access should you wish to contact home, although WiFi is available throughout the property.

There are two levels to the rooms, standard and luxury, there are 5 of each style.  They are fundamentally the same, but the location of the luxury rooms is better. The furniture in the rooms has been crafted from cemented brick covered in earthy tones.  Even the beds are made from stone, topped with a plush mattress and a thick duvet with crisp white linens. Splashes of colour on some walls break up the natural tones and these are enhanced with bright cushions and fabrics. The ambience is finished off with unique Moroccan lamps giving a warm glow to the room. Satellite television, a tea and coffee station and a fully stocked minibar are standard. Each en-suite bathroom has double sinks, a shower and toilet and a plethora of toiletries. Two of the standard and one of the luxury rooms only have a shower, whilst the rest also have a bath.  In addition there is one executive suite which occupies a larger area than the standard and luxury rooms.  It consists of a large bedroom, luxurious bathroom and a lounge with day bed and chairs and tables.

Client Rating for Namibia 5/5 from 12 reviews

A very comfortable and enjoyable last night in Windhoek with Joe's Beerhouse (not to be missed) just a walk away. Nice touch when we arrived back to find a nightcap of port and chocolate by our bed.
