Ol Tukai Lodge

Open: Ol Tukai Lodge is open all year.

Location: Ol Tukai Lodge is in Amboseli National Park and has views of Mount Kilimanjaro. The lodge is 6kms from Amboseli airstrip, which is a 30 minute flight from Wilson airport in Nairobi.

Rooms:& There are 80 chalet-style rooms with terraces looking out over the wetlands or Kilimanjaro. All have en-suite bathrooms. Most bedrooms have space for an extra bed for a child.

Activities: There lodge offers game drives and guided bird walks in the lodge grounds with the resident ornithologist. Sundowners on Noomotio Hill and private bush dinners near the lodge can be arranged. For a special treat you can have a champagne breakfast.

Facilities: There is a comfortable guest lounge with sofas and coffee tables. A selection of board games is available at reception. The large dining room has a high ceiling and is brightly decorated. Meals can also be taken outside on the deck. Buffets and a la carte options are available. There are theme nights on some evenings featuring special cuisines. The Elephant Bar is a good place to socialise with fellow guests. Above the bar there is a deck with excellent views of Kilimanjaro. Outside there are attractive grounds and a large swimming pool with a sunbathing terrace and a pool bar serving snacks and drinks. The spa offers a range of treatments including massage. The lodge hosts displays of Maasai dancing and there are occasional lectures on culture and wildlife. The shop sells souvenirs and toiletries. There is a currency exchange.

Dining: Meals are taken at individual tables.

Children: Children of all ages are welcome. A special children's menu and early dinner is available.

Health: This is a malarial area.

Communication: The lodge has 24-hour telephone and fax service. There is no internet service.
