Rooms: There are 9 tented rooms including a family room. They were renovated and reconfigured in early 2018. All have a bedroom with a door leading out to a large deck with chairs, a table and a covered sala. To the rear of the bedroom there’s a dressing room and beyond that a bathroom with a flush toilet, basin and shower, and you’ll also have an outdoor shower. The family tent consists of 2 tents linked by a walkway.
Activities: Nxabega offers daily game drives, all year round and seasonally you can enjoy mokoro and motor boat crusies.
Facilities: The main area is a large thatched building with panelled walls, divided into a lounge with armchairs and sofas and a supply of games and books, a bar and a dining room. The main deck is often used for outdoor dining as well as wildlife watching. A short distance away there’s a pool and a sunbathring deck. The camp has a gift shop and spa. Nxabega offers a free laundry service.
Dining: Meals are usually eaten communally though individual tables can be arranged.
Children: Children of all ages are welcome, and the WILDchild programme provides entertainment and activities for young ones. The family tent is two adjacent tnets linked by a covered walkway. There are age limits for different activities: children below the age of 6 years cannot participate in wildlife activities; those aged 12 years and older are permitted on game drives, and those between 6 and 12 can take part at the discretion of the camp manager; boat trips are available to those over 16, but children aged 12 and over may be able to take part at the discretion of the manager.
