Location: The hotel is in the town of San Pedro de Atacama about a 10 minute walk from the main square, on the edge of the Atacama Desert. The nearest airport is in Calama, about 95kms away.

Rooms: There are 29 standard rooms and 18 suites. All are en-suite with a supply of toiletries, bathrobes and slippers, have blackout blinds, a safe, phone with free local calls, and sofa. Standard rooms occupy 30sqm and have sliding glass doors that open on to a small patio. Suites cover 35sqm and have a large terrace facing the pool and noi suites are a generous 48sqm, with a fireplace, jacuzzi, hammock and pool-facing terrace. The hotel provides room service.

Activities: There are many activities to choose from, designed to suite a range of abilities and interests. These include walks, treks, exploring by bike, car, where you can take in the varied scenery. You can also visit Pukara, a pre-Colombian archaeological site, and enjoy star gazing. Excursions are led by professional guides. The restaurants, shops and museum of San Pedro are just a short walk from the hotel.

Facilities: The hotel has an outdoor swimming pool, sun loungers and daybeds, El Chanar Spa with 2 treatment rooms and saunas, a restaurant, 2 bars including 1 by the pool, and a gift shop.

Dining: The restaurant serves Chilean and international dishes, and is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Children: Children of all ages are welcome. There are some interconnecting rooms for families.
