Open: Naibor Camp is open all year.
Location: The camp is in the Masai Mara Game Reserve, in woodland near the Talek River, about 2kms from its confluence with the Mara River. The closest airstrip is Olkiombo, about a 30 minute drive from the camp.
Rooms: There are 7 large guest tents with canvas flaps at the front and side that can be rolled up. Each has a king size bed, indoor seating, solar-powered lighting and an en-suite bathroom with twin hand basins, a bucket shower and flush toilet. Every tent has a private veranda, and is set among trees that provide seclusion.
Activities: Game drives in 4x4 vehicles are the main activity, taking place in the early morning and late afternoon. Full day drives with a picnic lunch are also offered. Bush meals and sundowners can be arranged. Dawn hot air balloon rides are possible, at extra cost. The camp is near Mara River crossing sites, which makes for exciting game viewing during the migration (July to November).
Facilities: The mess tent incorporates both the lounge and dining area. There is ample seating including large floor cushions, and it leads out to a deck facing the Talek River. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served under cover inside the tent or out on the deck. At the spa tent you can enjoy a relaxing massage. There's a boutique where you can buy designer jewellery and pieces made by local people.
Dining: Meals are usually eaten together as a group in the mess tent and on the deck, though private meals on your tent deck can be arranged.
Children: Children of all ages are welcome, though there may be age limits on activities.
Health: This is a malarial area.
Communication: There is complimentary wifi internet access in the lounge.

Naibor, Little Naibor and Naibor Wilderness Camp are on the River Talk in the middle of the Masai Mara are all very close, but don’t impinge on each other. Little Naibor can share the facilities of Main Naibor or be taken as a private camp. Naibor Wilderness Camp is a short walk away, and usually serviced separately, though could share Main Naibor’s facilities if required. I stayed here for lunch, hosted by the charming and knowledgeable managers, and loved the quiet calm of this beautifully furnished camp. The tents in Main and Little Naibor are gorgeous, and even the tents of the more rustic Wilderness Camp are not that rustic! If you want a small, high quality camp in the middle of the Mara reserve, this is definitely one to consider.
