Open: Mushara Outpost is open all year.
Location: Mushara Outpost 10kms from the Von Lindequist Gate, at the eastern border of Etosha National Park. It is in a private reserve of some 2,500 hectares.
Rooms: The 8 tents are mounted on wooden decks. They are substantial structures with a sliding glass door and large glass windows, and have the benefit of air conditioning. The accommodation is open plan and includes a glass shower cubicle with one canvas wall that can be unzipped for views of the bush. There’s a separate toilet. Amenities include telephone, safe, hair dryer, minibar, coffee maker and battery charging points, and there is Wi-Fi. Each tent has a bathroom with a shower cubicle and there’s a separate toilet. To the front there’s a veranda.
Activities: Go for game drives, self-drive or with a guide, in Etosha National Park. The scheduled game drive operate twice daily, leaving at 07:00 in the morning and returning at 11:00, and departing again at 15:00 in the summer or 14:00 in winter and returning at sunset. Private game drives are also available.
Facilities: The main lodge has large rooms with lofty ceilings. It houses the lounge, dining room and gift shop, and there is a long veranda. Outdoors there’s a swimming pool and a small hide for bird watching. There is a laundry service, pay locally.
Dining: Meals are usually eaten as group around the large table in the dining room. Breakfast is a buffet and dinner a 3 course meal and both are included. Lunch is available at extra cost and can be either an a la carte option or a packed lunch.
Children: Children aged 12 years and upwards are welcome.
Health: This is a malarial area.
Communication: There is Wi-Fi internet access in the main lodge and tents.
