Mukambi Safari lodge is one of the last owner-run lodges in Zambia! It is fairly small and set in a wonderful location in Kafue, right on the banks of the Kafue River.

At the heart of the camp are the three wonderful viewing decks by the main lodge. Each deck provdes panoramic views of the river, and you don't need to go far to watch the game. There is always plenty of action in the water with hippo, crocs and birds having a daily presence. On the opposite side of the river, lion, elephant and leopard are seen coming for a drink and you may even be lucky and see a pack of African Wild Dogs. There is a lovely infinity pool, too, and a choice of sitting areas where you can rest between safaris.

The central area comprises the main lounge and bar area where you can socialise and read through reference books, and a large dining deck. The chalets, tents and villa are situated close to the river and have large, spacious rooms with en-suite bathrooms. Each has a private deck where you can relax and watch the wildlife.
