Open: Muchenje is open all year.

Location: On an escarpment in the Chobe Forest Reserve, west of Chobe National Park, northern Botswana. The lodge is 8kms from the Ngoma Gate of Chobe National Park. It is about an hour's drive from Kasane, through the national park.

Rooms: There are 11 thatched en suite safari bungalows, including a 2-storey family suite for 4 guests, also used for honeymooners. All rooms are air-conditioned, have charging points and spacious private decks.

Activities: Game viewing is unlimited here! You can go on game drives in 4x4 safari vehicles, night drives in the lodge's private concession using a spotlight to catch a glimpse of the nocturnal creatures rarely seen. Boat cruises on the Chobe River give an excellent chance to see large numbers of elephant coming down to the water's edge to drink, wash and play. Walking safaris, village visits, and dedicated family safaris are also available. Mokoro trips are also available seasonally when the water levels permit, usually April to December.

Facilities: There is a swimming pool, bar, dining area, and curio shop. There are also several viewing decks dotted around the property overlooking the river. There is also a reference library and a small gym. Guests can also use the complimentary laundry service which Muchenje offers.

Dining: All meals and drinks are included in your stay and are served as buffets.

Children: Children aged 8 and over are welcome, under 8s are considered on request.

Health: This is a malarial area.

Communication: There is no Wi-Fi, but there is mobile phone reception.
