Mountain Gorilla View Lodge is ideally situated for gorilla trekking with views of the Virunga Volcanoes about 1km away from the National Parks headquarters. Near the base of the Sabyinyo volcano, the hotel grounds are well tended with a variety of indigenous plants and flowers and plenty of space.

There are 30 rooms in cottage style, built using African designs and local materials where possible. They are all en-suite and have a 'fridge, coffee facilitiies and hairdryer. Modern African prints and furnishings create a cosy feel with armchairs and an open fire.

There is a small curio shop and a large main building with a lounge, bar and dining room.

A cultural dance troop provide evening entertainment with incredible traditional Rwandan Intore dancing.
