Mosaic Private Sanctuary is a 1,000 hectare private nature reserve with luxury suites and cottages on the banks of Hermanus Lagoon, just a 2 hour drive from Cape Town. This is a gorgeous setting, perfect for water and land-based activities. 
The five suites at Lagoon Lodge are a stylish combination of stone, wood and glass, with beautifully furnished interiors. Each has a bedroom with sitting area and fireplace, and a bathroom with a full size bathtub and burnished copper hand basin. There's also a lovely outdoor shower, fully screened for privacy but open to the sky. Folding doors at the front of the bedroom open out to a private terrace facing the mountains. 
Wooden boardwalks lead through trees to the central area with a comfy lounge, large deck and a heated plunge pool. Much of the produce is grown on site or in the immediate vicinity, so food is wonderfully fresh and full of flavour. The Lagoon Cafe by the water's edge offers an additional location for lunches.
While at Mosaic you can go for guided nature and bird watching walks, cruise and kayak on the lagoon, explore by mountain bike, visit local beaches and take boat trips out to see dolphins and whales. This really is a nature lover's paradise.
