A classic tented camp in the heart of the Okavango's waterways, Moremi Crossing offers great value for money in a very scenic part of the region and is just a 20 minute scenic flight from Maun. It is an eco-friendly camp that uses the latest solar and waste disposal technology.

On a small palm fringed island near the southern part of Chief's Island, Moremi Crossing is surrounded by game rich seasonal floodplains. Its sister camp, Gunns Camp, is also on the edge of Chief's Island.

Wonderful views over the waterways and floodplains across to Moremi are interspersed with grasses and woodland can be enjoyed from the camp.

There are 16 traditional style large safari tents, all with private viewing decks and lovely views over the Boro River to Chief's Island. All the tents are airy and have en-suite bathrooms with a large shower area.

A crescent-shaped central lounge bar and dining area is built on several levels to give a feeling of space and wide ranging views. It is covered by a large thatched roof and there are smaller private lounging areas for comfort and privacy. There is a shaded deck and small pool.

Activities here focus on the water with mokoro trips and motor boat rides being the main attraction. Being a water based camp the birding here is excellent. Water-based activities are balanced by game drives and walking on the islands, weather and safety permitting. On walks large mammals are often seen. Those living in the area around the camp include lion, leopard, giraffe, zebra, elephant, buffalo, wild dog and red lechwe, amongst others. If you want a real adventure it is possible to pack up camping equipment and head out with a professional guide for a night wild bush camping.
