Mombo Camp is set in a private concession just off the northern tip of Chief's Island in the heart of the Moremi Game Reserve and is widely considered to be one of the best game viewing areas in Africa. 

Mombo underwent a complete rebuild in 2017 and is simply stunning. The camp has 9 large tented suites, set on raised platforms and with private verandas offering views across the floodplains along with a private plunge pool and sala. The tents are luxuriously furnished and attention to details is evident at every turn. The ensuite bathrooms feature dual washbasins, indoor and outdoor showers and a bathtub with a copper and brass finish.

The communal areas are set on wooden decking and have canvas and reed coverings. From here guests can enjoy excellent views across the floodplains with its diverse wildlife, while enjoying delicious meals or relaxing over a drink. There is a comfy lounge, bar and also a library with a range of books and game viewing reports. Alternatively guests can cool off in the pool near the main area of the camp where you will also find the yoga deck

The camp offers morning and afternoon game drives in open 4x4 vehicles with chances of viewing the Big Five as well as other resident wildlife such as cheetah, wild dog, giraffe, wildebeest and zebra plus a wide range of bird life. As the camp is located in the Moremi Game Reserve, night drives are not permitted. Rhino conservation talks are regularly held in the evenings by a rhino conservation expert, they highlight how Botswana and Wilderness Safaris are addressing the current plight of the rhino. About 20 minutes from camp is a hide where you can view and photograph the wildlife, and remain inconspicuous, you may get some great photographs here. When you're not out on activities, the new and improved Mombo also has a gym with a view and you can book massage treatments in the comfort of your own room or private deck.
