- In a private concession
- Game rich area of Okavango Delta
- Seasonal walking and water excursions
- Day and night game drives
Mma Dinare camp is in a private concession in the south-east of the Okavango Delta bordering the famous Moremi Game Reserve. As there are no fences, wildlife is free to roam, and roam it does. Guests here are often treated to sightings of predators such as lion and leopard. Buffalo, elephant and giraffe can be rather prolific too along with a myriad of birdlife, there's something for everyone. Mma Dinare shares the concession with her sister camp, Rra Dinare, so you are unlikely to come across many other people.
Back in camp you'll be well looked after. There are just nine spacious guest tents set on raised platforms. They are tents in a loose sense of the word, all your creature comforts are catered for. The tents have wooden floors and a wooden door flanked by canvas walls with large mesh windows. At night you can draw full length curtains should you want privacy, or leave them open to allow the breeze to flow through the mesh windows. The comfortable bed takes centre stage, draped in a mozzie net. There's a ceiling fan, writing desk and also a lounge area with comfy seating. The tent opens out to the front onto a spacious deck where you can while away the time taking in the surrounding sights and smells of the wilderness.
Wander along the raised walkway and you'll arrive at the main areas where you can mingle with the other guests and guides. You can catch some rays by the pool, or continue game viewing from the large deck. If you want to retreat from the heat then the shaded lounge area is a welcome spot or you can take a dip in the pool, despite the heat of the day it's always refreshing. Dinner is served around a large table and afterwards, retreat to the firepit for some chat and a liqueur and then it's off to bed for a good night's sleep before rising early to go in search of wildlife once more.
As well as game drives during the day, you can also do night drives together with a guide and tracker who will use a spotlight to seek out the nocturnal animals. Seasonal mokoro excursions are offered when water levels permit (which is most of the time) and also game walks are offered when it's safe to do so. These are a great way to get up close and personal with nature and also encounter some of the smaller inhabitants of the area that you might miss from a game drive vehicle.

Client Rating for Botswana 5/5 from 120 reviews
Nice reception, accommodation excellent. Game drives were amazing, Alco, the guide, and Edwin his assistant were brilliant. Game drives started as soon as we entered the vehicle and this was where we saw the best game, many special experiences and a high concentration of varied game to see. We were even given a special 'Romantic Dinner' in our tent one night!
