Open: Mihir Garh first opened in 2009 is open all year.
Location: Mihir Garh is about 90 minute drive south of Jodhpur, and 25 minutes from Rohet, site of its sister hotel Rohet Garh. The drive here includes dusty roads where you are likely to pass herds of goats. The rural location is a large part of the charm of Mihir Garh.
Rooms: There are 9 guest suites (3 twins and 6 doubles), the smallest of which covers 158sqm. 5 are on the ground floor and the other 4 on the first floor. They consist of a bedroom, bathroom, living room terrace with a Jacuzzi or plunge pool. Rooms are decorated with local fabrics and artworks in a traditional style. Mod cons include air conditioning, ceiling fans, flat screen TV, DVD player, safe, tea and coffee maker and hairdryer. There are working fireplaces for cooler times of year.
Activities: You can relax by the pool and in the courtyard, go on tours to Bishnoi villages, take wildlife viewing trips and spend time exploring the area by camel cart. Experienced riders will enjoy saddling up, using the Marwari horses bred at Rohet and stabled at Mihir Garh.
Facilities: There are two courtyards as you enter the building, each with tables and chairs. The second, main courtyard also has a fountain and lawned area. There are other, small outdoor seating areas, and a sheltered first floor terrace. Indoor public areas include a lounge, library bar and restaurant, the last 2 leading out to terraces. The hotel has an outdoor pool, and spa.
Dining: Meals are served inside and outdoors. Both traditional Indian and continental dishes feature on the menu. Most meals are eaten together with other guests, though private dining can be arranged.
Children: Children of all ages are welcome, though there are no special activities for children. There are interconnecting rooms for families.
Health: We recommend malaria prophylactics for travel to India.
Communication: There is free Wi-Fi internet access in the public areas.

Set in the middle of the Rajasthan countryside with superb views from every aspect this modern fort has been sympathetically built to reflect traditional local styles and has a very warm and comfortable feel about it. It isn’t flashy but the 9 suites are extremely comfortable, spacious and either have their own private plunge pool or Jacuzzi. With horses roaming in the field and views to die for this is the perfect place to bliss out for a few days.
