Mihir Garh, meaning 'sun fort', is built in the style of a traditional Rajasthani fort, It is a rural location, about 90 minutes from Jodhpur and 25 minutes from Rohet. From its elevated position there are panoramic views of the countryside, and it's a perfect contrast to the busy life of Indian cities. The hotel has an informal, intimate atmosphere. 
There are 9 suites offering spacious and luxurious accommodation. Each suite has a large bathroom and a living area festooned with colourful rugs, silks and local artwork. The open fireplaces can be lit in cooler months, and there's air conditioning to keep the summer heat at bay. Facilities include TV, DVD player, tea and coffee maker. Private terraces with either a jacuzzi or plunge pool add an extra touch of luxury.  
There are courtyards where you relax, a small bar and terrace, comfy lounge and a library with an impressive collection of books. The restaurant has a dining deck, so you can eat indoors or out. While here you can go horse riding, using the horses from the hotel's stables, take guided tours to Bishnoi villages and to observe wildlife.
