Location: On the banks of the Madre de Dios River, some 2 hours downstream from the Boca Manu airstrip in the Manu Lowlands. Manu Wildlife Centre can also be reached by air to Puerto Maldonado followed by an overland journey and a motorised canoe ride of 3 to 4 hours up the Madre de Dios River. The lodge is set in a private rainforest reserve.

Rooms: Guests are accommodated in 22 private cabins with screened windows. The cabins have en-suite bathrooms with hot showers and flush toilets. The beds have mosquito nets.

Activities: Visiting the world's largest tapir lick, viewing macaws and parrots and a clay lick, following walking trails through mature rainforest, viewing wildlife and scenery from the 2 35 metre tall canopy platforms, visiting two lakes to see hoatzins, caimans and giant otters.

Facilities: There is a large dining room, lounge and a bar complete with hammocks. A generator supplies limited electricity, so it is possible to charge batteries at certain times. There is a snack area with hot waters for drinks, fruit and biscuits. The lodge is set in pleasantly landscaped grounds.

Dining: Meals are taken in the dining room at individual tables.

Children: Children of all ages are welcome.

Health: We recommend malaria prophylactics and a valid Yellow Fever certificate is needed.

Communication: There is Wi-Fi internet access, to be paid for locally.
