If you are looking for something a little out of the ordinary then why not try Mana Canoe Trails. Somewhat different to a normal safari, your days are spent on the Zambezi river, as you paddle from fly-camp to fly-camp taking in the wonderful scenery and the wildlife that the river sustains.  You don't have to be a fitness fanatic to partake in a canoe safari but a modicum of fitness is advised as each day you will travel 20-25km as you travel from one camp to the next along the Zambezi shoreline in Mana Pools National Park. There is also a possibility to enjoy some short walking safaris too giving you the opportunity to encounter more wildlife.

Each day as you are paddling downstream, your camp is moved to the next location, so when you arrive, everything is set up and waiting for you on the banks of the river. You can enjoy a hearty meal and good conversation around the fire before retiring to your simple, but comfortable dome tent for the night. In total the trip is about 65km and the paddling is mostly with a gentle current, flowing downstream. You are likely to see a plethora of elephant, hippos and crocodiles and there will be some plains game too, grazing on the river banks. You will be accompanied by a qualified guide and a maximum of 7 additional guests on this three night trip.
