Location:  Belmond Sanctuary Lodge is located adjacent to the sanctuary of the Inca citadel of Machu Picchu. It can be reached by train to Aguas Calientes and then by bus to the Inca ruins.

Rooms:  Guests are accommodated in 29 rooms and 2 suites. Amenities include telephone, television, minibar, safe and bottled water each day.  All rooms are air conditioned.

Activities: Visiting the site of Machu Picchu is the main activity. It is open from 6am till 5.30pm each day. Treks and tours of various durations in and around Machu Picchu the can be arranged. These need to be booked and paid for locally.  The lodge also has guides who can be hired. Pisco Sour tastings are an added extra put on by the hotel.

Facilities:  The restaurant serves Peruvian and international dishes. Staff at reception can change US$ to Peruvian currency. There is a small shop selling souvenirs. Aromatherapy massages are available. There is a laundry service. The lodge gardens are at the back of the main building and feature native plants and flowers, of particular interest is the orchid garden.

Dining: Meals are taken at individual tables.

Children:  Children of all ages are welcome.

Health:  Machu Picchu is a non-malarial area.

Communication:  There is free Wi-Fi internet access in guest rooms and some public areas.
