Okavango Delta Botswana
Tribes Style: Delux
- Just 5 spacious tents
- A guide and tracker on each gamedrive
- Good area for big cats
- Year round water activities
- Private concession
Open: Little Kwara is open all year. It will be closed from July 2018 for about a year for refurbishment. During this time Splash Camp, another Kwando camp in the Kwara Reserve, will make a good alternative.
Location: Little Kwara is in the private Kwara Concession bordering Moremi Game Reserve in the Okavango Delta. The camp is about a 15 minute drive from Kwara airstrip.
Rooms: The camp has just 5 guest tents, all with en-suite bathroom with bathtub, his and hers hand basins, a separate toilet cubicle and an outdoor shower. You'll find a range of toiletries. Each tent has an indoor sitting area and sliding doors which open onto a private, covered deck. There is plenty of storage with a large wardrobe with hanging space and shelves.
Activities: The camp offers 5 activities year round: game drives including night drives, motorboat safaris, mokoro rides, guided walks and fishing (spinning equipment provided but you'll need to take your own fly fishing equipment).
Facilities: The central area comprises the lounge and bar, with comfy sofas and chairs. The dining room is next door, though meals are often served outside. From both rooms you'll have views of the surrounding scenery. There's a firepit and a plunge pool with a sunbathing deck. The camp has a curio shop.
Dining: Meals are eaten communally as a group, in the dining tent and al fresco. Breakfast, lunch and tea are buffets and dinner is a 3-course meal.
Children: Children aged 6 years and over are welcome. Families with children between the ages of 6 and 12 need to book private activities at an extra cost.
Health: This is a malarial area.
Communication: There is no mobile reception or internet access. The camp communicates with head office in Maun via radio.

Client Rating for Botswana 5/5 from 120 reviews
More reviewsA lovely small camp with a really nice feel. Our guide (Tom) was incredible and with the help of the spotter, Mike, gave us wonderful experiences with animals and birds that included cheetah and leopard. We also loved the boat ride.
