Open: Elewana Lewa Safari Camp is open all year.
Location: Lewa Safari Camp is in the 26,000 hectare Lewa Wilderness Conservancy with views of Mount Kenya.
Rooms: There are 11 safari tents, 3 of which can take an extra bed to accommodate a child under 16. Beds can be made up as doubles or twins. Tents have thatched roofs, bedroom, en-suite bathroom and large deck. In addition there are 2 family suites, each with 2 en-suite bedrooms and each capable of taking an extra bed to sleep up to 3 children and 2 adults. Camera batteries can be charged in guest tents and at the bar.
Activities: The camp offers game drives and guided walks in the conservancy, full day walks in Ngare Ndare forest conservancy with a Lew walking guide, bush breakfasts, sundowners, horse rides and visits to local Samburu villages. On payment of a donation, you can gain access to on-going conservation projects and learn about the work that goes on from day to day. Back at camp relax with a swim in the pool or a massage.
Facilities: Central areas of the camp include a wide veranda and outdoor swimming pool with a deck with open and shaded areas and loungers. There are log fires in the lounge and dining area which can be lit on cool evenings. There is a set menu for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and meals are often served outdoors. The camp also serves afternoon tea and cakes and pre-dinner nibbles. While at Lewa you can indulge in a massage, manicure or pedicure.
Dining: Meals can be taken communally or at individual tables, as you prefer.
Children: Children of all ages are welcome.
Health: Lewa Camp is malaria free.
Communication: There is Wi-Fi internet access in all tents, and mobile phone reception near reception.
