Very comfortable camping with fairly basic facilities. Excellent support and a great welcome back each day with a G&T at the campfire. Superb cooking and incredibly daily cakes & bread baked over the fire.

We have had many wonderful holidays over the years, including two self drives in Southern Africa. This has to be one of the best all round experiences we have had and Letaka has a lot to do with that, we feel very privileged to have had their expertise and friendship whilst we were their guests.

Good large, clean tents. Very comfortable cot beds The 'en suite' facilities much better than I had imagined. The camp sites all well arranged, and efficiently organised. Really felt we were alone in the bush, not on top of other camp sites. Stayed in 3 areas, all with something different to offer. Only item on the wish list: ice cubes in the water jugs at dinner.

Totally wonderful. Lucas and the camp staff and chef KK simply could not have been better. Our fellow guests were also very good company and we all bonded really quickly. There is nothing we can think of to criticise as the quality of the trip was so high. We would be very happy to use Letaka again. A wonderful experience and a wonderful time of year to go to the Central Kalahari Game Reserve. Don't worry about the rain! Just go and see the desert at its most lush and beautiful.

We were looked after to a very high standard given the situation and the facilities available. The Letaka team were excellent and could not be faulted. Special mention must be made of "Life" our chef on this trip who consistently produced the most astonishing level of cuisine from the most rudimentary equipment - the guy is nothing short of a magician.

Excellent for the food and camp staff, but terrible tents and camps beds - both past their sell-by date. The zips were very stiff and hard to get up and down. The beds were absolutely dreadful - thin mattresses which slithered around. They need to be got rid of. TRIBES REPLY: We\'re so sorry to hear about the standard of the tents and beds. This is very unlike Letaka, and this has now been taken up with them. They send Mary their unreserved apologies. New tents and beds (and mattresses) are being delivered at the start of August 2014. Tribes has seen now photos of the new, bespoke beds and the mattresses are all thick and comfortable. Zips do break on safaris such as this, but the team has a mending kit with them. Letaka are going to ensure that guides check all tents whilst on safari and mend anything that requires it. It is really regrettable that Mary had such a bad experience with the camping equipment on this trip, but Tribes are now reassured that this will not happen again due to the measures put in place.
