Rooms: There are 12 guest suites, each with one double and one single bed. They are arranged on the banks of the Boteti River and have private, shaded decks. Fans keep the bedroom cool. Facilities include tea and coffee maker, torch, power socket for charging batteries, reading lights, wardrobe and small safe. The bathroom has a shower cubicle, flush toilet and twin hand basins. Toiletries and bathrobes are provided for your stay.

You can go day and night game drives, and, water levels permitting, take boat trips on the Boteti River. Guided walks are also popular. The camp can organise visits to Khumaga village. If you’re staying for 3 days or more you can opt for a trip to Nxai Pan.

Facilities: The main building is thatched and houses the lounge, bar, and the upstairs library. There’s a separate dining area, and a campfire boma overlooking the river where sundowners and nightcaps are taken. Staff can arrange bush dinners, too. The camp has a pool and sundeck. You can buy souvenirs in the gift shop. There is a laundry service.

Dining: Meals can be eaten communally and at separate tables, as you prefer.

Children: Children aged 6 years and over are welcome. Families with children aged between 6 and 11 need to book private safari activities. One child under 12 can be accommodated in each room.

Health: This is a malarial area.

Communication: There is no internet or landline and only intermittent mobile coverage.

Client Rating for Botswana 5/5 from 120 reviews

Number two on our list. Brilliant guide (very good on birds) and a wealth of wildlife - all close to the lodge. The river floodplain is a magnet for every kind of creature and the vast numbers of zebra are remarkable. Huts well situated close to the water and with things to see straight outside. Wonderfully friendly staff keen to make our stay memorable.
