Lebala Camp

Kwando Reserve, Linyanti Botswana

  • Excellent teams of guides and trackers
  • Game drives and guided walks
  • Spacious en-suite rooms
  • Watch Lebala's video

Location: Lebala is in the open plains of the Kwando Concession in northern Botswana.

Rooms: There are 8 en-suite tents all with bath & double outside showers, including 1 family room.

Activities: The camp uses open 4x4 vehicles for day and night game drives. They use a team of a driver/guide plus a spotter (or tracker) who sits at the very front of the vehicle. This combination of expertise makes for usually very successful game drive experiences. The vehicles do not have to stay on track so off-road drives are common here. Walking safaris are also possible here.

Facilities: There is a swimming pool and a game hide.

Dining: Guests are welcomed for meals in the open-sided thatched dining room. The meals are very good quality.

Children: Children aged 6 years and over are very welcome in camp. Families with children aged between 6 and 12 need to book a private safari vehicle, guide and tracker. The team will help keep the children entertained both on game activities and back in camp, giving you some time to relax. Kids tend to love using the spotlights at night, making cards out of natural materials, helping chef to prepare snacks, fishing, making print castings. They will be kept busy and happy!

Health: This is a malarial area.

Again, I loved Lebala. Roger our guide was fabulous - again how these guys spot the wildlife is beyond me. The lodge is wonderful, spacious and clean but again its the wildlife we were there for and Lebala came up trumps, with lions, wild dogs and probably one of the best leopard sightings I've ever had.
