Location: The hotel is in central La Paz, a short stroll from Plaza San Francisco. It is 15kms from the international airport at El Alto.

Rooms: There are 45 guest rooms including singles, twins, doubles, triples and a suite. All have cable TV, radio, safe, minibar, hairdryer and en-suite shower room. The suite has a living room, kitchenette and jacuzzi.

Activities: The hotel is near some of the main attractions including San Francisco Church and Museo San Francisco, and many colonial buildings. There are many museums to visit, and you can take the cable car up to El Alto, and explore the Valley of the Moon.

Facilities: The hotel has an attractive central courtyard and a large roof terrace. There’s an indoor pool, and massages can be arranged. Reception is staffed 24 hours a day. The hotel offers a currency exchange service. There is a laundry service. Oxygen is available for guest suffering from altitude sickness. La Casona has a small museum with a collection of coins, pottery and other items discovered during renovations on site.

Dining: The cosy restaurant provides a buffet breakfast and is open for lunch and dinner. It is open to non-residents as well as hotel guests. There is a good choice of wines to accompany meals.

Children: Children of all ages are welcome.

Health: We recommend malaria prophylactics for a visit to Bolivia.

Communication: There is free Wi-Fi internet access in rooms and public areas.
