  • La Casona Hotel restaurant

  • Lovely restored colonial building
  • In the heart of the historic district
  • Relax in the patio or on the sun terrace
  • Cosy restaurant with vaulted ceiling
  • On-site museum

This historic building has been lovingly transformed into a hotel, retaining many of its original features such as the grand arched entrance gateway, lovely central courtyard and stone fountain, vaulted ceilings, stone walls and cobblestone floors. It even has its own museum filled with eveyday objects such as pottery and coins that were uncovered during the mansion's restoration. Its central location is perfect for sightseeing, visiting markets and museums.

The restaurant serves local and international fare and is popular with locals and tourists as well as residents. One of the best features of the hotel is its rooftop terrace, a large area with tables, chairs and sunshades and sweeping views over the city.

There are single, twin, double and triple rooms, all decorated in a homely fashion and with en-suite shower rooms. Each has a TV, safe, minibar and heating. The presidential suite has its own sitting area, small kitchen and a jacuzzi-bath.
