Kubu Lodge is a small, privately owned lodge set on the banks of the Chobe River in Kazungula, just a short drive from Chobe National Park and the border with Zambia.
There are just 11 en-suite chalets, all set on raised platforms and many are under the shade of giant ebony and wild fig trees, with views of the Chobe River.
From Kubu Lodge you'll take game drives and boat cruises in Chobe National Park to view the abundant wildlife, including the famous Chobe elephants, sable antelope, buffalo, lions, antelopes and other plains game. There is a 2 kilometre nature trail in the lodge grounds, which you can explore at your leisure, maybe catching sight of mongoose and bushbuck.
The lodge can arrange an evening sundowner cruise to the confluence of the Chobe and Zambezi Rivers, an experience not to be missed. Victoria Falls is just an hour's drive away and can be visited as a day trip from the lodge.
Kubu is a good value, comfortable lodge which, whilst not luxury, is a welcoming small lodge to base yourself in this Chobe region.
