Open:  Kleins Camp is open all year. The annual migration occurs here between June and December.    

Location:  Kleins Camp is on the lower slopes of the Kuka Hills in a 10,000 hectare private concession bordering the Serengeti. The nearest airstrip, Lobo, is about 10kms from the camp.   

Rooms:  There are 10 circular guest cottages, with stone walls, wooden floors and thatched roofs. Beds are draped with mosquito nets. All have en-suite bathrooms with twin hand basins and a rainshower, and private verandas with a table and chairs and a sofa. There is a butler for every 2 cottages.   

Activities:  You’ll have day and night game drives and guided walks. Between June and December you can observe the wildebeest migration. Visits to Ololosokwan village visits can be organised.   

Facilities:  The dining area looks out over the plains, and there’s a sitting room a short distance away with a central fireplace and a bar. All have large windows which can be opened right up for sweeping views and to admit the breeze. There is an outdoor swimming pool with a paved sunbathing deck. The lodge has a safari shop selling handicrafts, jewellery, bags, kikoys and wildlife books. The lodge can supply a ‘gym in a basket’ consisting of an exercise mat, weights and a skipping rope. Massages can be arranged.   

Dining:  Meals are eaten at individual tables in the dining room. Private meals on your deck or in the bush can be arranged, as can sundowners on the hillside.  

Children:  Children of all ages are welcome. There is a family suite sleeping 2 adults and 2 children, and some other rooms can 2 adults plus 1 child under 16 years. The minimum age for game drives (unless exclusive vehicle use is booked, minimum age 6) is generally 12 years, though children aged between 6 and 12 are permitted at the guide’s discretion. Baby-sitting can be arranged. The WILDchild programme offers special activities for children.    

Health:  This is a malarial area.

Communication:  There is limited mobile phone coverage, and there is Wi-Fi internet access in the main lodge.
