Open: Kirurumu Tarangire Lodge is open from June to March.

Location: Kirurumu Tarangire Lodge is by the northern edge of Tarangire National Park, about 30 minutes from the park gate. It is about a 2 hour drive from Arusha.

Rooms: There are 10 tented rooms, which include 2 honeymoon suites and 2 family cottages. They are all en-suite with hot and cold running water, twin basins, a shower and toilet. They have thatched roofs, polished stone floors and glass doors which open out onto a spacious veranda. There is a mosquito net over the bed, a bedside table and small writing desk.

Activities: Tarangire National Park is on the doorstep and game drives here are the main activity. Guests an also enjoy ethno-botanical walks with Maasai guides, take full day treks in the area around the lodge, explore by bike (bikes to be hired locally) and join guided village visits.

Facilities: The dining room is a simple open-sided tent. Meals can also be enjoyed by the camp fire. There is a separate lounge bar tent, with comfy sofas and arrange of reference books. There is a watering hole which can be seen from the bar tent.

Dining: Meals are taken at separate tables.

Children: Children of all ages are welcome, though there are no special activities or facilities for children.

Health: This is a malarial area.

Communication: There is internet access at reception.
