Open: Kings Lodge is open from 15th October to 30th June, to coincide with the opening dates of Bandhavgarh National Park.

Location: Kings Lodge is set in 14 hectares of forest near Rancha village and just a 10-minute drive from the Tala gate of Bandhavgarh National Park. The nearest railway stations are Umaria (34 kms) and Katni (95 kms). The nearest airport is Jabalpur, about a 4-hour drive from the lodge, and Khajuraho airport is about a 5-6 hour drive from the lodge.

Rooms: There are 10 cottages and 8 stilt cottage, all with en-suite bathrooms with 24-hour hot and cold water, and full electricity. All 18 rooms are air conditioned and have large verandas or balconies with views of the forest.

Activities: These include morning and late afternoon jeep safaris in Bandhavgarh National Park, guided bird watching tours, picnics in scenic locations, walking and cycling excursions. The lodge can arrange visits to local villages and traditional workshops, and full day trips to Sanjay National Park, a good place to observe sloth bears.

Facilities: There is a dining hall with a fireplace overlooking the wild grasslands. Kings Lodge offers multi-cuisine meals. The lodge has a small library and a watch tower. Outdoors there's an informal seating area, a popular place to enjoy a sundowner or an alfresco meal, and a swimming pool and sundeck. The on site spa provides therapeutic Indian massages. There are 14 hectares of sal forest and grounds to be explored.

Dining: Meals are taken communally in the dining hall and outside on the deck and in the barbecue area.

Children: Children are welcome.

Health: We recommend malaria prophylactics for travel to India.

Communication: There is no internet access.
