Kichaka Expeditions was established in 2013 by Andrew 'Moli' Molinaro and his partner, Noelle Herzog, to concentrate primarily on walking safaris in the remote Ruaha National Park. Kichaka Zumbua is their newest and most luxurious product and is now central hub for Kichaka Expeditions operations.

Activities revolve around morning bush walks complemented by game drives. You'll be led by experienced guides, always eager to share their knowledge and love of nature, and will come away with an in-depth knowledge of the African wilderness and its wildlife.

The three tents are a cut above your traditional safari tent.  The canvas walls are built on raised beds and covered with a high thatch roof, keeping it cool throughout the heat of the day. The tents are spacious and have comfy beds, a writing desk and private veranda with seating so you can watch the world go by in seclusion. Each tent has an en-suite bathroom with flush toilet, running hot and cold water, a bathtub and outdoor shower.

With a maximum of just six guests, Kichaka Zumbua is an intimate camp where you'll soon get to know not just your fellow guests but also your guides and all the camp staff. Meals are served in the social communal area and are eaten together around a large dining table. There are chairs and sofas for relaxing, and a campfire that is the camp's focal point at night.
