Location:  The hotel is in the Thamel district of Kathmandu, near the King's Palace. It is convenient for the airport.

Rooms:  The hotel has 42 standard and deluxe rooms, all with en-suite bathrooms and separate sitting areas. The building is in the traditional Nepali style and rooms are furnished with rugs and furniture to match. Rooms do not have  air conditioning but do have fans in the summer and electric blankets and hot water bottles in the winter.   

Activities:  Sightseeing in the city, shopping. The hotel can also arrange excursions into the Kathmandu Valley, to Chitwan and to Pokhara (pay locally).

Facilities:  There is a restaurant serving Nepali, Indian, Chinese, Thai and Continental cuisine plus a garden restaurant. There is a bar/lounge. The hotel also has a rooftop terrace with views of the Kathmandu Valley and pleasant walled gardens.  There is limited room service and a laundry service.

Dining:  Meals are taken at individual tables.

Children:  Children of all ages are welcome.

Health:  Kathmandu is not a malaria area.

Communication:  There is free WiFi internet access in public areas including reception, the restaurant and garden and there is free use of the internet in the hotel's computer centre. Bedrooms feature direct dial phones.
